We were left to find someone to do the repairs. Luckily we found Window Outfitters and my call was answered by Bob Davis, President of the company. He said he would be happy to help us and would put in a repair order. However a few days later Bob called and said he was in our area. He stopped by and fixed the door. marc b26 April 2024We have a house that was built in the early 1900s. I called tons of companies about windows and some wouldn't even come look due to the age of our house. I got a hold of windows outfitters and they told me they do a lot of old houses and work lead safe. The lead safe was a huge bonus since some companies won't touch houses that have lead paint. We had three measurements done. Got our quote, which was well below the other guys. They also have a lifetime warranty that transfers to the next home owner. Windows took a couple of weeks to come in and about 2 days for the installation. It was a two man crew, and they did the job so effortlessly it was like they weren't even there. They vacuumed as they went and put things back that had to be moved. I am skeptical when it comes to big purchases, but Windows Outfitter was very good at keeping communication open and emailing me back promptly when I had questions. Laura Calhoun29 September 2022We built a new home in 2017, and worked through our window mfr (Alpen) to have a couple Provia doors installed. In 2021, the outside trim around one of the glass panes in the back door cracked. It took several months for us to work a warranty claim through Alpen to Provia and eventually get replacement parts. Then, neither company could offer any service providers in the Twin Cities to install the new trim. I found Window Outfitters online as a supplier of Provia doors and gave them a call. Bob Davis bent over backwards to help me out! While they don't typically service doors that they haven't installed, Bob made it his personal mission to get our trim fixed. Ultimately, he and Glen, from Provia, came out and fixed the door together. Not only did they get the new trim in and looking great, but they corrected the hinge that had always made the door stick horribly on the bottom (such that my kids couldn't even open the door on their own). Now, the door opens with no trouble and our trim is ready for the MN winter :-) Many thanks to Bob for his persistence and commitment to customer service. We are VERY happy customers!Posted on Google

She was very good at listening to any concerns, paid careful attention to details of what we wanted, and quickly responded to any questions. It did not feel like the typical sales process. We were never rushed, and this ensured we were confident with our decisions and completely satisfied with the end result. Tom did an excellent job with replacement and installation. Measurements taken were spot on, and everything fit like a glove. Tom came prepared every day, and his attention to detail and excellent workmanship were noticeable every step of the way. Each day work areas were cleaned and left better than when the day started. My wife and I were impressed with the level of perfectionism, as there are few individuals that operate this way anymore. The city inspector who closed out the permit made a point to tell me that they had done windows 'the right way' and he was very glad to see it. The windows are fantastic, but Window Outfitters service has been what I appreciate even more. I recently unseated a bottom sash because I did not pull the window up far enough before tilting it. Totally user error. I was unable to fix it myself, so emailed them on a Friday evening, expecting I would hear back the following week, and making sure they knew it was not an emergency. They sent someone the following morning--on a Saturday--fixed it under warranty and went on their way. The entire experience, from initial contact, working with the sales lady (Elizabeth--she's great), the installation, and the follow up has been excellent.
