Choose Quality Vinyl Siding for Your Minneapolis |St. Paul Area Home

As a licensed Minnesota siding installation contractor, we know that there is no one siding product that is perfect for every home. That’s why we offer a number of options for Twin Cities homeowners. If you’re looking for an economical siding that still delivers quality performance and protection for your home, we have a number of vinyl siding lines for you to choose from, in addition to our other siding materials.

Vinyl siding first hit the U.S. residential market in the late 1950s. It was developed by Crane Plastics, an Ohio company. Their vinyl siding was marketed as an improvement over the then-popular aluminum siding. Aluminum siding was an economical, low-maintenance alternative to wood siding, but it had its drawbacks, especially because it was easily dented and required repainting every 5-10 years. Also, repairing a section of damaged aluminum siding is difficult, and it often requires replacement instead.

In contrast to aluminum, vinyl siding’s colors are actually formulated as a part of the product, so it never needs repainting. It’s also very durable and more resistant to denting. It’s virtually maintenance free, and it requires less raw materials and energy to manufacture than aluminum does, making it an environmentally conscious choice.

Insulated or Non-Insulated High-Performance Vinyl Siding from Exterior Portfolio® by Royal

We are proud to offer Minnesota homeowners a number of premium vinyl siding materials from Exterior Portfolio®, a division of Royal® Building Products. In 2011 Crane’s vinyl siding division was acquired by Exterior Portfolio. That means the vinyl siding products we install now are improved, updated versions of the original U.S. vinyl siding product.

Exterior Portfolio’s vinyl siding lines include both insulated and non-insulated products.

  • Insulated Siding:CraneBoard® Board & Batten Siding, CraneBoard® 7 Solid CoRe Siding®, CraneBoard® 6 Solid CoRe® Siding, and Oracle Solid CoRe® Siding. These siding products are each crafted using technology that leads the industry and produces a dramatic and beautiful exterior look for your home. The rigid graphite polystyrene foam Neopor® insulation material behind the siding adds up to 19% additional R value plus it can cut outside noise levels almost in half. It is incredibly impact and wind resistant. This patented product provides powerful insulation and exceptional thermal performance.
  • Traditional Siding: This low maintenance vinyl siding is available in three different price points – Parkview (an economical siding product), Market Square® (mid-range pricing) and Premium Pointe® (top of the line quality).
  • Shake and Shingle: Portsmouth Half Round, Cedar Shingle, 8” Staggered Edge Shingle, and Hand-Split Shake. Any of these can each give your home a charming, rustic quality. These siding products are also highly wind and impact resistant, and are usually used as gable or other accents in combination with one of the other siding styles.
