For most Twin Cities homeowners we talk with about having exterior remodeling done, being able to reflect their personal taste and make their homes stand out from others is very important. One way to do that is to choose custom shaped windows instead of the standard rectangles. These windows are also called specialty shape, and many of the window manufacturers we work with have a variety of these nonstandard shaped windows available, or they will custom craft a window to your specifications.

Round Windows: Round and oval windows can provide a contrast to all the angles in your home. Because they are different from the expected box shape, they can also draw the eye to the spot where the window is. These are available in both fixed and operable windows. The pivot option is great for areas where you still want ventilation, while the fixed window can provide light in an otherwise inaccessible spot, such as over a stairway. Windows can be installed to either pivot vertically or horizontally. And you can even add custom touches to craft a ‘statement window,’ like the one shown on the left. The shelf running across the window is built into the casing itself.
Just like any shape window, these round windows can be further customized with other options like grilles or even art glass.
