The recent April 2022 issue of Eden Prairie Lifestyle Magazine features a great article on Window Outfitters and our founder/president Bob Davis. It also covers our sister company, Garage Floor Outfitters.
The subhead on the article says it all: “The Twin Cities’ Finest Windows, Doors, and Garage Floors.”
One interesting aspect of the article is that it touches on the history of both companies. It’s been over 20 years since Bob officially launched Window Outfitters, Inc., and in that time the company has become THE replacement window company for the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
Our specialty is historic home windows and doors, and the article covers that as well. Says Bob, “The quality of our materials and work is so high that we’re frequently hired by local homeowners to service homes on the National Register of Historic Places. I’ll admit that working on homes built between 1890 and 1940 is my favorite part of our work. There’s an art to updating a historic home so it’s fit to manage…our climate.”
Now, we understand that not all Minneapolis area homes constructed in that time frame fit the ‘historic’ designation, but since construction techniques and materials are likely similar, the approach we use with historic homes works for these older homes as well.
