Here are a Couple of Tips to Help Ensure Your Window Replacement Goes Smoothly

  • womanWindow treatments, curtains, blinds, brackets, drapes, rods, etc. need to be removed before we arrive.
  • Any furniture in the window area needs to be removed, giving our installation crew at least three feet of space to work.
  • If you have any decorative items on walls near doors or windows, such as clocks, mirrors, pictures, etc., they need to be removed.
  • If you have an alarm system, contact the company to get alarm company to let them know you’re having your windows replaced.  They’ll let you know what needs to be done for the system.
  • While installation is taking place, keep your pets and small children confined.  Better yet, why not take them somewhere else for the day?
  • We know you are excited about your new replacement windows, but be patient and wait with reinstalling shades and blinds.  Any caulk we’ve used needs to dry – this process takes at least twelve hours.
  • Resist the impulse to throw those new windows open for the fresh air.  In order for the weather strip to conform, your new replacement windows need to remain shut for not less than five days.
