Pella’s Great New Windows and Doors

One of the best parts of owning a home is the freedom to decorate it however you want. There’s no landlord to ask permission from to enhance the classic beauty of a historic home or to refresh the looks of a house in need of a face lift. Often the answer is a different style of window.  While these types of remodels can seem daunting, Pella® has developed an updated collection of windows to make the process easier.

Architect Wood Series Patio Doors & Windows

Released in 1990, the Architect Wood Series is comprised of an extensive collection of wood windows and patio doors. These elements are designed to give homeowners and builders even more flexibility in creating the perfect home.

Pella was careful to incorporate a great deal of research into this collection to ensure optimum accuracy and function. The two new lines are called Architect Series Reserve and Architect Series Contemporary, and the collection is rounded out with an older line, Architect Series Traditional. While the newer lines are as high quality as the older line, they offer greater design flexibility.

The primary features of this redesign may involve the windows themselves, but it also addresses one of the necessities that is often seen as ugly: the hardware. The hardware is what provides function to aesthetics.

In the new series – much like the original Traditional line, hardware is carefully designed to match the frame and door styles. The hardware has its own design to match each of the frame and door lines: Classic, Modern, Rustic and Essential.

These hardware designs include a new lock style as well. The SmartKey™ Re-key technology lets homeowners reset the key in locks without having to take them from the door.  (The photo at right shows two of the hardware pieces from the Architect Series Traditional line.)

These advances are only one part of Pella® ’s desire to revolution the industry, while at the same time maintaining their reputation for having high quality products.
