Our Company Is a Recommended MN Window & Siding Contractor for the Bloomington HRA

We get that it’s hard to trust people these days, especially if you’re planning on having some remodeling or home improvement done.  We’ve all read the news about scam artists and unscrupulous contractors. So whenever we get an ‘approved’ or ‘preferred’ contractor designation by an important entity, we’re proud to share it with the public. It’s your assurance that our company has been checked out and that we meet the standards set.

We have a number of those you might have noticed on our home page, but one that’s not there is of special importance to Bloomington, Minnesota homeowners – the Bloomington Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA).  The HRA has three separate programs that you can access to have exterior remodeling done through our company.

• As part of its function the Bloomington HRA has a low-interest loan program that allows homeowners within the city to fix up their older homes.  Up to $35,000 can be borrowed. The funds accrue interest at a rate of 2% for 10 years, and what’s great about this is that it doesn’t have to be repaid until it’s no longer your principal residence.
• A second loan program  is in its pilot stage, and affects homeowners in a specific area around Portland Avenue and E. 90th Street.  This is called the ‘Curb Appeal Loan’ and provides up to $10,000 for exterior improvements.  This particular loan is a zero-interest financing.  (Our siding replacement is an eligible project under this program.)
• Home Energy Squad Enhanced Program is designed to help homeowners cut their utility bills and make their homes more energy efficient.  As part of this program you’ll get an energy audit and suggestions.  Our energy-efficient replacement windows qualify for this program.

When homeowners apply for any of these programs, the HRA provides them with a list of recommended contractors to install the particular items, and we are so pleased to be on the list for both replacement windows and siding.
