The Inflation Reduction Act which became federal law last year (2022) includes a provision called the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit.that may allow you to claim up to 30% of the cost of energy efficient items purchased beginning January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2032. This means even if you’ve had us install doors or windows earlier this year, those projects will still qualify. There is a lifetime limit, however, so consult your tax professional.
