UV filters also play a big part in choosing the best window for you. If the windows you want to replace will allow light in a room that has fine rugs and furnishings, then filtering out the UV rays should be a big concern. These can literally ruin furniture, hard wood floors, and furniture unless heavy drapes are in place to stop them. Placing after market films on windows does little to protect the inside of the home, since it will come lose and start to peel before long. Once this happens, the window glass with never be the same.
