Tips for Choosing Windows That Reflect the Farmhouse StyleOne thing that most farmhouse designs have in common is the main palette is white, accented with high-contrast black window and door frames. (That doubles up on trending by the way, since black frames have been hot for nearly a decade.)
Another characteristic is the large window, as well as large doorways (think double doors). A great way to give the look of a larger window without enlarging the existing window opening is to switch to thinner-frame fiberglass windows. Because fiberglass windows as so strong, it’s possible to manufacture slimmer frames without sacrificing strength.
